How to build with Cocoon.io

Select Configuration on Reebyte’s Toolbar, it will display pop up window like an image below

And then, choose Android platform on Build Target and save it. After that, choose Build and and pop up window appear to select your build location.

Once build finished it will create a Cocoon.io zip like this.

Open Cocoon.io and click here to create new project, but you need to login first. when you logged in upload it to existing project that you have been create and wait until it finish.

Once it finished, it will display a new dialog box on the right side like image below, and if you have a newer update on your project you can directly drag and drop your latest project here and click to a gear icon on red circle to set up your project (package name, icon, version, etc).

Scroll it down on Cocoon.io’s page and you will see setting like this, and don’t forget to check your target platform which is Android.

Properties

  • Bundle ID Set up your project’s package name
  • Version Set up your App’s version especially if you want to upload it to Google Play.
  • Name Set up your App’s name.
  • Orientation Set your App’s orientation.
  • Fullscreen is full screen or not?

When it finished, move to Icons and select Android drag and drop your selected icon or you can browse in your local computer, a recommended resolution for icon is 1024×1024 px PNG file.

And then move to the splash screen, if you don’t choose any splash screen it will display Cocoon.io default splash. and don’t forget to save your current edited settings, scroll the page down and you will see a save button there.

Once you done with all the settings there. scroll it up and your project is ready to compile.

And when your project is completely finished, you can download your project there. Remember! it’s a debug version if you want to create a signed APK. Scroll this page down!

Take a look on Cocoon.io page and scroll it down, you will see a Signing and choose Android, you can create a new keystore on Android Studio here’s how you create a new keystore or you can use existing one. When the key has been added to your project then you can proceed to build the APK file.
